new home
Sooooo I did something big.
I bought my first home….never did I ever think this would be possible. I mean the San Francisco market was WAYY outside my budget, and I knew I would only buy somewhere I truly want to live.
Enter Portugal from stage left. SURPRISE!
Everyone wants to see photos, so let’s jump right in! I’m barely 2.5 weeks in, but SO excited to be building out my home. More context on my home buying experience below :)
Welcome to my Portuguese fisherman’s house, which was fully remodeled in 2023-2025, but with lots of original details maintained – the exterior, gorgeous front door, azulejos (tile) — with a very warm, modern twist.

Night one in MY house — the first task was to assemble the guest bed (still sleeping in while waiting on my bed delivery) with delicious Vietnamese noodles surrounded by boxes til 2am.
Night two included more take-out food, Ashanti & Nelly reality TV show, and assembling a TV stand.
Things started moving with my sofa, living room configured, plants relocated to the upstairs terrace, bedside table, mirror, dining table and chairs, and bed frame (still no mattress).
